Route description Stadtbummeln
Der Rundgang beginnt am Rathausplatz beim Rathaus und führt zunächst zum Landestheater Niederösterreich. Von dort geht es weiter zur Franziskanerkirche und zum nahegelegenen Karmelitinnenkloster. Anschließend führt der Weg zum Stadtmuseum und vorbei am ehemaligen Institut der Englischen Fräulein.
Über den Riemerplatz gelangt man in die Kremser Gasse, eine der ältesten Straßen der Stadt, die direkt zum Domplatz mit der Domkirche führt. Danach geht es weiter zum Herrenplatz und zur ehemaligen Synagoge, die heute als wichtiger Erinnerungsort dient. Den Abschluss bildet das Landhausviertel, das mit seiner modernen Architektur einen spannenden Kontrast zur historischen Altstadt setzt.
