Brief description

The fast and flat road cycling route

Description

The 128-kilometer route with 850 meters of elevation offers a perfect combination of speed and scenic variety. From St. Pölten the route passes through cozy villages such as Kilb, Mank, and St. Leonhard, to the Ybbs-Persenbeug Danube power plant. After a short coffee break in the beer garden of Gasthof Böhm, the route continues always with a view of the Danube up to Melk. After crossing the Danube in Klein-Pöchlarn and passing the impressive Melk Abbey, it leads over gentle hills of the Mostviertel cultural landscape back to St. Pölten. An ideal, flatter route for speed enthusiasts.
