Description

Whether clear or bound - the soup specialties at Gasthof zu den Linden in Pottenbrunn are a delight across the board. The culinary journey for guests usually begins with a hearty beef soup or one or other creamy alternative. When preparing the dishes, host Helmut Haas focuses on products of regional origin. Vegetables, beef, pork and fish come from the area around the district of St. Pölten, the heart of Lower Austria. Among the main courses, the baked carp and the Fiaker goulash are delicious. The Geschnetzelte with mushrooms and vegetable rice is also typical pub fare. The jams are homemade and are used to great effect in the desserts - for example in the apricot pancakes, which provide a crowning finale.

Indulgence in the heart of Lower Austria

Guests are in the best culinary hands at Gasthof zu den Linden. Since 1984, the Haas-Neuwirth family has known how to impress with their down-to-earth, authentic and honest cuisine. The team spirit is palpable, both in the service and in the kitchen. The inn itself has a country house style. Larger events are often celebrated in the ballroom. The word "natural" aptly describes the delightful guest garden, which is characterized by two mighty chestnut trees and is the ideal starting point for further Mostviertel excursions. We recommend a cycle tour along the Traisental cycle route or a visit to the provincial capital of St. Pölten with its diverse cultural offerings.
