At 310 meters above sea level, the view extends across the rapeseed fields to the Alps.

The "Eisbergspitze" has been open and accessible to residents and visitors to the city of St. Pölten since 2022. The excavated material was used to pile up a small "iceberg peak" on which a pavilion was placed. At 310 meters above sea level, the view extends over the rapeseed fields to the Alps.

"A monotonous agricultural area has been transformed into a beautiful and diverse paradise for people and animals. The area is inviting and offers opportunities for many leisure activities such as soccer or kite flying. Even the lighting has been designed with energy efficiency in mind. With this project, the provincial capital of St. Pölten shows what sustainable urban development can look like," emphasizes Mayor Matthias Stadler.
