BAKABU & the wolf song of St. Pölten
Discover the new children's adventure trail "BAKABU and the wolf song of St. Pölten"!
St. Pölten, July 2024 - The provincial capital of St. Pölten is constantly reinventing itself and surprising visitors with exciting attractions for families. The interactive children's adventure trail "BAKABU and the Wolf's Song of St. Pölten" is a new addition to the offer and now awaits young and old explorers alike.
This 1.6-kilometre adventure trail winds its way from Rathausplatz to the "KinderKunstLabor" and offers families with children a varied experience. The eight stations along the trail are linked by QR codes and promise lots of fun and exciting content. Visitors are accompanied by BAKABU, the famous blue earwig with a red nose and sailor's hat, who is going on a treasure hunt this summer with his friends "Mimi Lou" the firecracker frog, "Charlie Gru" the clay pigeon and "Lups" the wolf. The quartet has set off in search of the mysterious wolf song, so that they can make a powerful wolf howl at the next full moon.
The interactive stations of the children's adventure trail offer both text and audio content, narrated by none other than the popular actor and entertainer Christian Tramitz. Visitors can experience the stories and adventures conveniently via their smartphone and discover St. Pölten from a new perspective.
The adventure trail leads through some of the city's most charming corners: from Rathausplatz, Riemerplatz and Brunngasse to Domplatz and Alumnatsgarten. Discover oversized spider webs, listen to the carillon of the historic town hall and dance rhythmically with the water of the fountain.
"St. Pölten is changing and presents itself as young, fresh and cheeky. With the new children's adventure trail, we are expanding our offer for families and providing another highlight alongside the recently opened 'KinderKunstLabor'," emphasises Stefan Bauer, Director of Tourism at Marketing St. Pölten GmbH. The project is supported by Sparkasse Niederösterreich Mitte West AG, while the creative minds behind the concept are St. Elmo's Tourism and the texts are by Ferdinand Auhser. Manfred Schweng provides the musical accompaniment with his wolf song.
