Next Bike

Don't be left without a bike if you spontaneously feel like going on a bike tour. In St. Pölten, you will find suitable hire bikes at the "Next Bike" hire stations. So nothing stands in the way of a relaxed excursion into the countryside.

How it works

1. REGISTRATION
   Registration is free of charge. To verify your means of payment, you must deposit a travel credit of €1, which you can use later.
2. RENT
   By scanning the QR code on the bike with the nextbike app, the frame lock opens automatically.
3. RIDING BREAK
   Do you want to park your rented bike without ending the rental? Simply activate the ride break mode in the app and close the lock.
4. RETURN
   Park the bike at one of the official stations (see below) and press down the small lever on the frame lock. We charge a service fee of €20 for returns outside the locations listed.

E-bike hire

8 KTM Macina Sport bikes and 8 Weichberger helmets are available for hire at Cityhotel D&C, Völklplatz 1. Phone: +43 2742 75577 The bikes can only be hired and returned there.

Bike hire period and prices:   

• 1 full day - 08.00 - 20.00 - from € 35,--
• ½ day - 07.00 - 12.30 - from € 20,--
• ½ day - 13.00 - 20.00 - from € 20,--

Helmets:

8 helmets are available and can be borrowed free of charge subject to availability. Please note: The bikes are insured against theft and damage (e.g. fire, force majeure). In the event of gross negligence, there is a deductible of € 330 per bike. While the bike is parked, it must be locked with the appropriate lock and for half-day rentals, the full-day rate will be charged if the bike is returned after 1.00 pm or after 8.00 pm.
