For those wanting an easier journey, the Mariazellerbahn covers specific sections, especially great for leisurely or tired pilgrims. The well-known Via Sacra runs alongside the route, and some train stations are conveniently close to the pilgrimage path.

THROUGH DIRNDLTAL INTO MARIAZELLERLAND WITH THE STAIRS OF HEAVEN

Take a ride through Dirndltal (Dirndl Valley) into Mariazellerland with the Stairs of Heaven (Himmelstreppe).
