A day at the lake

If you want to be surrounded by nature and look for a calming place to enjoy a hot day, then grab your towel and cycle to one of our beautiful lakes.

Both the Viehofen Lakes and Lake Ratzersdorf, with the former being slightly larger and deeper, provide a wonderfully refreshing experience. The beautiful green lawns along the shores offer a perfect setting for chilling out and beating the heat. Moreover, the lakeside restaurants serve delightful dishes and provide fantastic views over the water.

Situated just a few kilometres north of the city, the St. Pölten Lake Experience is a key attraction in the area. A twelve-meter-high lookout tower offers a wonderful panoramic view of the surrounding area. Admission to both lakes is free!
